Join Barnes Jewish Hospital in providing excellent patient care as an Infection Prevention Manager role supporting Barnes Jewish Hospital lines and Washington University Clinics.

Manage a team of 20 and be willing to present and collaborate with director plus teams in an innovative environment.  

Experience 

Infection control experience a plus! 

BSN

OR

Bachelor's in related field with CIC required. 

Location

This position allows for some remote work, but will be on-site regularly, some driving required. 

Schedule

Days with administrative on-call.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Infection Control Program, including accountability for standards of care, regulatory and reporting compliance and Requirements. Develops, implements and evaluates assigned projects. Successfully collaborates as a partner and liaison to entity and system programs while maintaining positive working relationships with employees, physicians, the community and stakeholders of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Develops and implements occupational health and infection prevention related programs, tracks and reports on compliance and achieves successful outcomes for the organization.
  • Conducts ongoing surveillance for detection of Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAI) infections.
  • Ensures compliance in all aspects of infection surveillance, prevention and control.
  • Provides education and serves as a resource.
